The idea to form the association was formulated in 2018 by the initiative of the founding member companies to boost the morale of direct selling in the Saudi Arabia Market and has undergone the phases in developing a non-profitable organization.  Furthermore, the intention of forming the association was endured due to the fast growth of direct selling in the Middle East market.

The desire to launch the association was due to the fact that the industry was at its infancy and was very young and immature but has a very promising future. There has been a tremendous amount of passion amongst practitioners and public to pursue direct selling. Hence, the board has decided to work on filling the gaps between direct selling and network marketing companies and consumers. Talking about the impact and local ratio, Saudi Arabia consists of 80% young generation who chase a better future, which is why network marketing is a great match, both in lifestyle and financial rewards.

One of the milestones of the DSA in Saudi Arabia is the persistence of the key players, initiating a dialogue with the Saudi Arbia Government to formulate the association. During those times, a training organization has been established, since the need to educate the public practitioners about direct selling was immensely felt. Since then, hundreds of seminars, workshops and in-house training programs were conducted, strengthening the industry’s relationship with various government agencies.

In 2021, the National Center for Non-Profit Sector has given their consent to form the association. Accordingly, the DSA constitution was drafted, adapting the templates published by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Saudi Arabia.

In November 15, 2020, the constitution was officially signed by the seven (7) founding member companies – DXN, Edmark, Enagic, Frontrow, Jeunesse, Vestige and, Unicity respectively.
